Racial Justice and Sex Education: Strategies to Create Safe Learning Spaces for Youth with optional Virtual Professional Development (VPD)

Please check back for the next available training!

This three-day training will focus on the connection that racial justice has with complete sex education. During the first two days participants will complete a 2-day training on what is racial justice, why it is necessary, and then identify key strategies to integrate in sex education classrooms.

On the third day of the training, participants will then have the opportunity to practice the newly learned strategies via the Virtual PD classroom and our student avatars. This immersive experience will give participants the ability to be coached by their subject matter expert on how to best integrate these strategies to impact the education received by our youth. (The third day is optional but encouraged)

Target Audience: This training is ideal for those working directly with youth with a focus on creating responsive and affirming spaces that recognize racial inequalities and its impact on the health and well-being of young people around the country.

Trainer: Dr. Nakisha Floyd

Virtual PD Coach: Lauren Barineau

Registration fee: $150 per person
